  • Crate Training

Obedience Training is one of the best things you can do for your puppy... and yourself.

Obedience training doesn't solve all behavior problems, but it is the foundation for solving just about any problem. Training opens up a line of communication between you and your dog. Effective communication is necessary to instruct your dog about what you want her to do. You can teach her anything from 'No Stay' (don't bolt out the door) to 'No Sit' (don't jump up on the visitors) to 'No Off' (don't chew on the furniture). Dogs are social animals and without proper training, they will behave like animals. They will soil your house, destroy your belongings, bark excessively, dig holes in your yard, fight other dogs and even bite you. Nearly all behavior problems are perfectly normal canine activities that occur at the wrong time or place or are directed at the wrong thing.

The puppies are started on basic obedience, to walk at heel, and sit on a leash. We will also address issues such as "jumping up", "nipping & biting". We will work on puppy socialization, crate training, puppy retrieving and manners.

Obedience training should be fun and rewarding for you and your pup. It can enrich your relationship and make living together more enjoyable.

Some people debate whether or not it is possible to train puppies, my answer is YES.

Whatever the age of your dog, the right time to begin training is right now!

After daily training each pup is allowed to unwind on one of our 6 dog yards. The pups are out and about most all day every day. We put them in their kennels at dinner time and for the night. During inclement weather the dogs are brought into our indoor kennel building, where they can enjoy some free time or rest. Unlike other training kennels, we do not force the pups to stay in a enclosed kennel all day. We believe that they need free time to unwind and just be a dog.

$250.00 per week for puppy training or

$650.00 per month

***For the Hunter, your pup will be worked on retrieving on both land and water. For many, this is their first introduction to water and swimming. We also introduce them to retrieving birds and expose them to the gun shot.

*** Please understand that we are at the kennel with the dogs most all day every day, it is very hard for us to answer phone calls due to the noise level.
