Happy Mardi Gras!!!!!

This warm rainy weather does not feel like typical February weather! Our days here at the kennel have been filled with 70 + degree days and lots of rain to go along with it. Dispite the yucky weather Jessie and I have been getting a lot of training accomplished. This warm weather has gotten me excited about the quickly approaching Spring 2012 Hunt Test season. I am looking forward to running our young dogs this spring!!!

Since my last Blog posting we have bred 2 of our Black females, we bred SHR Tiny & SHR Racey JH to HRCH Boomer MH. If both females are pregnant we will have puppies during the month of March. I will post more info as soon as we find out more information.

Sunny & Cade pups will turn 6 weeks old this coming week, we have 1 female and 2 males available from this litter. The pups will be heading on right at Valentines day!!! What a special gift to give your sweetheart!!!!

We have begun taking reservations for Mardi Gras boarding, if you plan on heading out of town for the upcoming Mardi Gras holiday please give us a call so we can make sure we have room for your dog!!!

I am sooo excited about the new "Kuranda Dog Beds" that we have recently purchased for our kennels. The beds are best dog beds that are on the market. They are REALLY Chew proof!!!!!

After alot of stuggles and many delays we have finally gotten out "Photo Galleries" published for our web site. I have alot of pictures to post but I am sooooo happy to have the Photo Albums up and available for viewing on our web site.

Happy New Year!!!! As I reflect back on the past year, I am reminded of how God's favor and hard work have brought us so far.

Brad and I were married in Destin, Florida in July. The kennel has made so much progress in the last 12 months that it is almost unbelievable. We have added 20 new dog kennels to house our training and boarding dogs. We have added 3 new airing yards and remodeled one of our whelping rooms. Oops, I almost forgot to add that the kennel has hired a wionderful training assistant (Jessica Metz).

There have been many other blessings but these came to mind as I am typing..

During the year we have met some wonderful clients, I should say (friends) along the way.

If 2012 is nearly as spectactular as 2011, it will be another awesome year.

I would like to say a BIG Thank you to all of our clients and customers who have intrusted us with their dogs!!!

Happy New Year from Jen, Brad & the rest of the Y-Farms family

Merry CHRISTmas! I can not believe that Christmas is almost here. I hope everyone is holding their loved ones close this holiday season. We recieved 11 early Christmas presents, Rose gave birth to 11 gorgeous pup on Nov. 28th. Rose and the babies are doing wonderful, we have 2 male pups still available. They will be ready to go home the 2nd week in January.

It doesn 't look like Sunny will make it to Christmas from the size of her tummy. She is expecting a all yellow litter on/about Christmas day. We will post pictures as soon as they arrive.

Eventhough, we have been busy with new puppies, training & boarding we have still found time to do a lil hunting. I have posted a couple pictures from our recent hunts.

I will soon be updating our "Brags & Wags" page with new hunting reports from our puppy owners and training clients. I can not express how good it makes me feel to get all of the good reports from our clients about how well their dogs are doing this season. If you have stories and pictures to share please send them to us so we can post them.

As you can see we have a new web site, we have been working with www.justgetitworking.com to make it more informative and much more interactive. Keep checking back for all of the new pages that we will be developing in the near future.

My prayer is that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!! Jen

Wow! This past weekend was unbelievable. We took Kenzie, my 10 year old daughter, on her first wood duck hunt. It was a fun time. To top the weekend off, Sunday evening Kenzie shot a 6 point deer all by herself. This child never ceases to amaze me. As a good friend commented on Facebook, "That's what it is all about"!

I have been blessed to raise my kids on property where they can enjoy the outdoors. All 3 of my children hunt, fish and work with our Retrievers.  The song "Pass It On" by Tracy Byrd keeps ringing in my ears. If we don't pass on the enjoyment and love of the outdoors to the next generation, Who will?????

Please email us pictures of your hunts so we can share it with others!!!!
