Our kennel facility is flexible but to ensure that we have the kennel space available, please text Jennifer at 225-445-5012 or email Jen@y-farms.com Due to the noise level at our kennel, we cannot take phone calls please text or send an email to Jennifer.
Facility: For your dogs' safety, he/she is crated for a nap and nightly sleep time. We provide bedding, bowls, leashes & toys for all the dogs staying with us. Please limit the number of items that you send with your dog, as we are very short on storage space. All items that are left with your dog during his/her stay must be labelled with his name for identification purposes.
*** We are not responsible for any items that are damaged, lost or left behind at our kennel.***
We offer a complimentary spa quality bath for dogs that board with us 1 week or longer. This bath includes shampoo/conditioner, brush out, blow dry, routine ear cleaning & cologne. If your dog is staying for less than 1 week, we will gladly bathe your dog for a fee of $20.00. Please notify us at drop off when you will be picking your dog up. Send us a text or email inform us of the what time you will arrive, so we can have your dog bathed and ready to go home.
*** Just like children, dogs get bumps and scrapes while playing. If your dog or puppy has a minor injury, we will address any medical needs here on site. At the discretion of our staff, if we feel that an injury is serious, we will notify you immediately and to make any veterinary arrangements. ***
Feeding: We provide food and water bowls for each dog staying with us. We offer Victor Professional Dog Food, however if your dog is on a special diet please provide his/her own food. If so, separate and label it with their name and feeding instructions. Feel free to bring as many treats and bones as you would like for your dog to enjoy during their stay.
Special Needs /Medications: If your dog has any health or medical issues, let us know at drop off or in your reservation. Also, if we should use additional caution to handle your pet (bad back, sore joints, hip dysplasia & seizures).
If your dog has medication, make sure to have your dog his name and dosage instructions written the bottle and on their paperwork. If we need to administer medication while he/she is at our kennel, there is a $5.00 charge per day for us to administer any oral medications as well injections such as insulin.
*** If your dog has been under recent medical care & has medical restrictions, we suggest, for the health of your dog, that you have your veterinary board your dog for you. ***
Non-Spayed / Neutered: We will allow non-neutered males to board with us, however he will be monitored closely for with other dogs. If there are any signs of harassment or aggression, we will kennel and air him separately for the duration of his stay. You must inform us if your female dog is in “heat” or due to come in “heat”, so we can take extra precaution while in our care.

Our automatic gate will be closed, please wait a few minutes for us to open it or use the pedestrian gate. Please park your vehicle and walk your dog on leash to our building. If an employee is not outside to greet you, there is a doorbell located at the front of our kennel building.
*** Please do not enter any of our buildings without an employee. ***
If your pet is not picked up by 2 PM, you will be charged for that day’s boarding. Any dogs that are picked up during our Sunday hours will be charged for that day of boarding. All drop-offs and pick-ups must be scheduled in advanced.
After Boarding with Us: Please don't be overly concerned if you have a "tired pup" after his/her stay at Y- Farms. It is not uncommon for your dog to rest for 3-5 days after boarding with us. Just like humans who have been out of town; they don't rest as well away from home. Your dog has also had a lot of playtime, outdoor activity, and stimulation during their stay with us.
Boarding Tours / Visits: Visits are welcomed to our facility by appointment only. Our kennel schedule is very busy with training, boarding & chores, we are not open for any drop-in visits.
***Please keep in mind that our kennel is located at our home we ask that you adhere to the kennel hours listed above. ***
