Our goal at Y-Farms is to produce puppies with sound dispositions, strong working desire and good conformations. By selectively breeding our Retriever's we feel that we will produce top quality, multi-purpose, well bred puppies.
Whether you are looking for a performance dog, hunting partner or a family companion, our puppies can do the job, they are truly multi-purpose.
Several of our puppies have gone to homes with children or family members who have physical limitations and disabilities. We have also had our retrievers used for Narcotic and Bomb detection. We recently placed one of our retrievers with a trainer who will be training him for television commercials.
Our litters are born in our home then later Mom and puppies are moved to one of our climate controlled whelping rooms. Our puppies are well socialized and introduced to birds and water. All of our puppies will have been to the veterinarian to have their dewclaws removed and a full check up within the first week of life. They also see the veterinarian for 6 week puppy immunizations and another full physical examination.
Our sire and dam's have recent CERF certificates indicating eyes are currently free from disease or hereditary defect. Both parents have OFA certificates indicating they are free from evidence of hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia. We also have begun DNA testing for Exercise Induced Collapse before our dogs are bred.
Pedigrees and working titles on the Sire and Dam of each litter are available for viewing. We will provide a puppy packet including AKC/UKC registrations, health records, health guarantee, copies of their parents pedigrees and copies of their parents certificates of accomplishments and a puppy food sample.
Whelping Services:
We offer a whelping service to those clients who would like to breed their retriever, but don't want the hassle of raising a litter. We will be responsible for the whelping and raising of the litter; from birth to 7 weeks; including vaccinations, dew claw removal, de worming, socialization, and introduction to retrieving, swimming, and birds. We will also advertise the litter and assist in placing each pup in a safe and happy home.

We feel that it is important to build a strong foundation for success with your dog. So, we offer a puppy basics program. We also offer obedience and started gun dog training.
